about
LEAH JEAN MUSIC
From a young age, Leah Jean has held a passion for music and has loved singing as often as she was able. Leah grew up singing along to 90’s and 2000’s country, but her passion for performing took off shortly after she graduated college, and since then, she has never looked back!
Born and raised in the pacific northwest, Leah jean draws inspiration from the landscapes that shaped her. from the rugged shores of the olympic coast to the winding mountain roads of the cascades, the PNW is at the heart of her musical journey and she is an avid believer that country music can brighten even the rainiest Washington day.
Leah jean is inspired by the gritty yet heartwarming storytelling of modern artists such as Anne Wilson, Luke Combs, and Emily Ann Roberts. Leah's songwriting journey is just beginning, and her style aims to engage listeners’ imagination, nostalgia, and soul with some good ol’ country music.
Leah Jean formed the Mile Markers in 2025 out of a desire to capture the full toe-tapping sound of a country band. The Mile Markers are a talented bunch of instrumentalists including Rick Johnson on bass guitar, Tod Brueske on lead guitar, Ryan Ritter on the fiddle, and Josh Van Winkle on the drums and cajon.
